A lot of charter schools were started by parents and community organizers to address what was perceived to be specific problems or to fill a void with the local school systems. I have experience listening to residents, businesses, staff and helping ensure the policies and priorities reflect our community's needs. These opportunities for the city to help its residents and promote neighbor helping neighbor are vital to keeping our neighborhoods attractive and connected. I know how to work with community members to set up infrastructure and make our neighborhoods better places to live with no impact on their bottom line.
