This means that you will be closer to the terrain, as the higher ground is in front of you, therefore its easier to use your hands and find a safe route up. Keep walking along to Bramleys Cot, a ruined building (theres no roof but it will give you shelter from the wind in bad weather) and from here its about another 2 km to Chew Reservoir. As you climb higher the last section of the route turns into a rocky steep section, which is where you can scramble to final part to the top of Grindsbrook. This can get busy at weekends so be sure to get there early.
