Ive been using my old D850 a lot for astrophotography and have been very pleased with its ISO performance. An electronic viewfinder (EVF) with a higher resolution provides a sharper image, producing a view comparable in quality with the one displayed on an optical viewfinder. Of course, you can use a converter, but, IMHO, any additional piece of equipment is to be avoided as far as possible.
